Payments Operations Team Lead(m/w/x)
Overseeing daily payments operations and partner relations for an embedded finance platform. Minimum 4-5 years payment operations experience and first leadership experience required. Variable remuneration program, home office budget.
Anforderungen
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field
- Minimum 4-5 years Payment Operations or Banking Operations experience
- First leadership experience managing small team
- Strong knowledge of SEPA & SWIFT payment schemes
- Knowledge and comprehension of PSD2
- Ability to engage with team members
- Provide clear and concise feedback
- Ability to lead cross-functional projects
- Fluent command of English
- German language skills are a strong plus
- SQL familiarity
- Strong analytical and data-driven mindset
- Experience applying AI-based tools or automation
- Ability to balance strategic vision and attention to detail
- Hands-on and entrepreneurial mentality
- Strong analytical skills for process improvement

Aufgaben
- Oversee daily payments operations
- Set strategic priorities, KPIs, and performance targets
- Serve as primary contact for partners and third-party banks
- Handle payment-related inquiries and follow-up calls
- Establish strong governance, reporting, and control frameworks
- Drive automation and streamline workflows
- Embed robust risk management practices
- Allocate team resources effectively across time zones
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of 3-5 payment operations specialists
- Resolve incidents efficiently and continuously improve processes
- Lead team according to defined career paths
- Ensure regular development conversations
- Liaise with Business Unit heads and functional heads
- Collaborate with key stakeholders for effective team functioning
- Improve processes with team experts and stakeholders
- Monitor and process SEPA and SWIFT payments
- Take responsibility for payment-related incidents
- Serve as main point of escalation for senior management
- Contribute to regulatory communications with BaFin and other regulators
- Support and lead Audit Cycles
- Maintain compliant-first approach for regulatory adherence
