- Deep understanding of photonic devices and circuits, preferably in high-speed optical communications
- Experience in design, simulation, layout, measurement of integrated photonic devices
- Understanding of semiconductor fabrication and packaging flows
- Plus: Knowledge of electronic circuits interfacing with photonic devices
- Relevant research publications and/or patents in photonics
- Familiarity with simulation and layout tools for photonic devices
- Familiarity with RF and thermal simulation tools
- Experience developing control systems for photonic devices
- Experience with chip-level integration
- Preferred: PhD or MS in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or Physics
- Familiarity with programming/scripting languages (Python, Matlab, C)
- Strong technical independent contribution with proven ability to drive results
- Excellent teamwork, presentation, and documentation skills
- Ability to collaborate globally, deliver under pressure, meet strict deadlines
