Operations Automation Engineer(m/w/x)
Designing and implementing automation solutions for national security missions. Minimum TS/SCI clearance and 3 years enterprise automation experience required. Flexible time off, extensive learning resources.
Anforderungen
- Minimum TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years developing/supporting enterprise automation solutions
- Experience with System Center Orchestrator or similar platforms
- Experience with PowerShell, Python, or scripting languages
- Experience automating Windows and Linux server administration
- Experience integrating automation platforms with APIs, databases, ServiceNow, monitoring tools, or enterprise management systems
- Working knowledge of VMware virtual infrastructure
- Understanding of ITIL service management processes
- Experience supporting enterprise environments with security and compliance
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Active Security+ certification or ability to obtain
- One or more industry certifications (Microsoft, VMware, Red Hat, Automation, Cloud, Cybersecurity)
- Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI clearance
- Experience with Ansible Automation Platform
- Experience with Palo Alto Cortex XSOAR or security orchestration
- Experience supporting DoD or federal government environments
- Experience with STIG compliance, ACAS, and RMF processes
Aufgaben
- Design and implement automation solutions
- Streamline operations and improve service reliability
- Develop and maintain automated workflows
- Support infrastructure, platform, and service management
- Collaborate with technical teams to identify automation opportunities
- Optimize operational processes
- Support modernization initiatives through orchestration
- Integrate systems for workflow automation
- Drive continuous improvement efforts
- Design, develop, test, and maintain automation workflows
- Use System Center Orchestrator (SCORCH), Ansible, and other platforms
- Create and maintain automated runbooks
- Support infrastructure, application, and operational processes
- Develop scripts using PowerShell, Python, or similar languages
- Integrate automation platforms with ServiceNow, XSOAR, VMware, monitoring systems, databases, and applications
- Collaborate with system administrators, network engineers, cybersecurity personnel, and platform teams
- Support the AFRICOM Automation Working Group
- Identify opportunities to expand automation capabilities
- Implement workflow automation for incident response, service requests, provisioning, compliance, and maintenance
- Troubleshoot automation failures
- Perform root cause analysis
- Implement corrective actions
- Maintain technical documentation, workflow diagrams, and standard operating procedures
- Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity requirements and STIG standards
- Participate in testing, change management, and deployment activities
- Monitor automation performance
- Recommend improvements for reliability, scalability, and efficiency
- Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer
