- Basic Unix/Linux knowledge, especially RHEL Enterprise Linux
- Skill in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries
- Proficiency in backup and restore methodologies
- Willingness to participate in on-call duties after onboarding
- Upper-Intermediate level of English
- German at native level
- Experience with DB2 LUW versions 10.1, 10.5, and 11.5
- Familiarity with DB2 utilities for maintenance and administration
- Hands-on experience with DB2 in high-availability environments
- Experience with tools typically found in DB2 environments
- Understanding of DB2 security mechanisms
- Strong communication skills, team-oriented approach, and proactive mindset
- Willingness to travel occasionally for business trips to clients in Austria and Germany
- Readiness to participate in on-call rotations after completing training
Aufgaben
- Design and manage DB2 LUW servers
- Build and operate a high-availability DB2 LUW environment, including pureScale
- Use and manage standard DB2 Data Movement Utilities
- Create and maintain DB2 database objects
- Monitor and optimize SQL performance for Java JDBC applications
- Troubleshoot and resolve database and performance issues
- Implement and manage DB2 security features to protect sensitive data
- Support backup and recovery operations and strategies
- Collaborate with teams to support the database lifecycle in development, test, and production environments
