Anforderungen
- B.Sc./M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent
- Knowledge in structural/mechanical engineering for heavy steel structures
- Knowledge of mechanisms engineering: kinematics, engagement mechanisms, leverages, actuation
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and assembly procedures
- Strong analytical skills and practical problem-solving ability
- Hands-on integration, testing, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis
- Self-sufficient adjustment to changing work environment and priorities
- Highly organized, efficient, effective team player with attention to detail
- Proactive, open, effective, constructive communication in stressful situations
- Ability of self-criticism and assessing own strengths and weaknesses
- Knowledge of rocket propulsion technology and/or test facility and launch pad design
- Knowledge of mechanical aspects of process plant engineering
- Travel activity to construction and test sites for on-site coordination
Aufgaben
- Take responsibility for mechanical (sub)systems
- Manage stakeholder requirements for (sub)systems
- Define Engineering Change Requests
- Advise colleagues on mechanical/structural ground system design
- Design, plan, and iterate mechanical/structural (sub)systems using calculations, CAD, and simulations
- Create manufacturing and integration drawings with BOMs
- Perform trade-offs from subsystem to architectural levels
- Select and procure hardware for (sub)systems
- Write technical documentation
- Conduct (sub)system design reviews
- Perform risk assessments for (sub)systems
- Support planning of commissioning procedures
- Provide support to operation crews during commissioning
