- M.Sc. in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 2+ years hands-on hardware design/development experience
- Mechanism design from concept to tested (sub-) system
- High proficiency in 3D modelling (CAD)
- Production-quality drawings creation
- Familiarity with structural element selection/sizing
- Familiarity with fastener selection/sizing
- Familiarity with interface selection/sizing
- Familiarity with thermal path selection/sizing
- Understanding of kinematics
- Understanding of packaging
- Understanding of electro-mechanical systems
- Judgement for simple vs. complex design solutions
- Precision and careful design consideration
- Fluent English
- Structured, fast-moving, mission-driven approach
- Iterative development until functionality is achieved
- Building durable products
- Designing lightweight electronic enclosures for harsh conditions
- Independent prototyping and testing of mechanisms
- Mechanism refinement cycles into production
- Experience with ISO GD&T
- Experience with DFM/DFA
- Experience with FEA interpretation
- Experience with material selection
- Thermal design for compact electronics
- Thermal analysis for compact electronics
- Thermal design for similar systems
- Thermal analysis for similar systems
- Hardware testing & qualification experience
- MIL-STD thermal testing experience
- MIL-STD vibration testing experience
- Skilled in designing fixtures
- Skilled in designing test-rigs
- Familiarity with light UAV systems

Aufgaben
- Design and refine sealed avionics enclosures
- Develop cooling concepts for on-board systems
- Create interfaces and connection mechanisms
- Package and integrate systems into UAVs and ground systems
- Build and rework hardware prototypes
- Conduct simulations and test hardware
- Perform flight tests and real-world exercises
- Collaborate with partners and armed forces
- Analyze and improve designs through testing
- Document and industrialize designs
- Work with manufacturing partners to scale production
