Anforderungen
- Experience in ultrasonic or digital radiographic techniques for NDT
- ISO 9712 certifications advantageous
- Valid certificate by Swiss or French authorities for handling X-ray electric generators for industrial radiography advantageous
- Configure parameters for manual, encoded, automated PAUT systems
- Set up acquisitions and use 2D/3D visualization software for digital radiography and computed tomography
- Familiarity with material science, welding processes, international NDT standards
- Strong technical writing skills for procedures and reports
- Spoken and written English or French, commitment to learn basics of other language
- National of a CERN Member or Associate Member State
- Professional background in Materials Science/Welding Engineer/NDT or related field
- Never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before
- Valid driving licence

- Develop and apply advanced NDT techniques
- Inspect critical materials and assemblies
- Collaborate with the NDT team
- Participate in ultrasonic testing
- Participate in digital radiography
- Participate in computed tomography
- Optimize PAUT techniques for welds
- Improve inspection reliability
- Expand PAUT application domains
- Develop PAUT probe use in immersion
- Enhance inspection flexibility
- Enhance inspection capabilities
- Support mobile radiography system development
- Support mobile tomography system development
- Perform in-situ inspections in LHC tunnel
- Perform inspections of medium-sized components
- Communicate inspection results to engineers
- Document testing protocols
- Document testing findings
