In this role, you will lead teams to ensure compliance with import-export regulations while managing customs processes. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve analyzing products for classification, optimizing duties, and collaborating with various stakeholders to uphold trade laws.

Anforderungen

• •Thorough understanding of enterprise-wide trade compliance management
• •15+ years of experience with regional experience, trade automation technology, customs simplification management
• •Demonstrable knowledge of trade compliance and customs software and new product launches
• •Proficiency in trade compliance and customs program development
• •Experience in leadership and strategy
• •Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, planning, international trade or related field
• •Customs clerk expert certification
• •Fluency in English, both written and oral
• •Strong knowledge of European Customs Code and trade regulations
• •Experience in managing customs broker operations and trade compliance projects
• •Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• •Ability to build effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
• •Proven track record in leading internal teams, cost management, and duty optimization
• •Willingness to travel up to 20%
• •Global experience in collaboration with teams in various geographies
• •Knowledge of auto and electronics industry requirements and customs procedures
• •Experience working with ERP and trade compliance systems
• •Fluent working knowledge of English
• •Willingness to travel, if necessary
• •Eligibility to work in EU member countries
• •Valid driver’s license

Aufgaben

• •Lead and manage internal teams for import-export and legal documentation
• •Ensure compliance with customs processes and authorizations
• •Oversee customs valuation, classification, and country of origin determination
• •Manage the FTA origin solicitation and qualification process
• •Analyze products and services for classification
• •Support procurement and sales with duty implication analysis
• •Manage customs broker operations and instructions
• •Align local risk management with global standards
• •Monitor and audit customs clearance processes for compliance
• •Advise on compliance requirements and controls
• •Create and implement SOPs for customs processes in EMEA
• •Drive cost management and duty optimization initiatives
• •Integrate best practices based on global cooperation
• •Build partnerships with customs brokerage firms and agencies
• •Apply for and manage customs rulings and tariff information
• •Prepare KPIs for customs valuation and classification activities
• •Conduct training on customs processes for users
• •Participate in customs and trade automation projects
