- Own month-end and year-end close
- Maintain general ledger integrity
- Oversee reconciliations
- Manage accruals, prepayments, and open item resolution
- Oversee VAT reporting
- Handle consolidated returns and EC Sales Lists
- Ensure compliance with German GAAP and local statutory requirements
- Support tax activities, including foreign VAT recovery
- Oversee payroll accounting with external advisors
- Lead audit preparation
- Coordinate with auditors
- Deliver year-end reporting packs and analyses
- Lead, coach, and develop a finance team of three
- Ensure clear task allocation across AP, AR, and accounting
- Foster a collaborative and accountable team culture
- Drive effective use of systems like DATEV
- Identify and implement process improvements
- Handle complex financial transactions
