- LL.M. or equivalent legal qualification
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Clear and effective communication of complex legal issues
- Fluent English
- German language skills a plus

- Accompany challenging, international legal projects
- Identify legal and regulatory risks
- Implement new legal requirements into the business
- Implement METRO Group compliance requirements and guidelines
- Monitor compliance and regulatory changes (e.g., DSA, GPSR, consumer protection law)
- Translate new legislation into internal legal updates
- Perform gap analyses for new legislation
- Translate new legislation into internal processes and policies
- Collaborate with IT/Product on technical implementation of legal requirements
- Communicate complex legal matters to non-legal stakeholders
- Support internal audits and compliance checks
- Maintain a central compliance knowledge base
- Track implementation deadlines for new regulations
- Develop and facilitate compliance trainings for non-legal colleagues
- Implement Group compliance guidelines
- Perform regular Group compliance tasks
