- Ensure Design to manufacturing & assembly in development projects
- Provide cost input in early design phases
- Provide cost input for engineering changes
- Report on portfolio cost performance
- Report on portfolio profit performance
- Support defining supply chain strategy
- Support developing make-or-buy strategy
- Support implementing make-or-buy strategy
- Track defined improvement measures
- Provide input for corrective actions with Operations
- Provide input for corrective actions with Value Chain
- Support ramp-up activities for products
- Support ramp-up activities for components
- Support ramp-down activities for products
- Support ramp-down activities for components
- Lead Engineering Change Management projects end-to-end
- Lead cost-down projects from concept to implementation
- Support business case calculations for change requests
- Ensure timely execution of improvement measures
- Ensure timely implementation of improvement measures
