- Understanding of HTTPS/SSL, authentication mechanisms, and PKI
- Solid knowledge of standard symmetric and asymmetric cryptographic algorithms
- Strong programming experience in at least one language
- Memory-efficient languages such as C or C++ (significant plus)
- Good understanding of the OT domain
- Understanding of OT deployment, operation, and constraints (advantage)
- High motivation
- Team-mindedness
- Ability to work independently
- Fluent English (verbal and written)

- Improve certificate distribution for OT infrastructure providers
- Evaluate practical feasibility of existing standards
- Design and prototype user-friendly certificate distribution methods for OT
- Adapt solutions like Let's Encrypt for industrial networks
- Assess current certificate management standards
- Identify gaps in standards for OT installations
- Investigate challenges of OT environments
- Account for air-gapped networks
- Account for diverse device capabilities
- Account for operational continuity and safety priorities
