Anforderungen

• Enrolled student in Master program or Master's degree with focus on organic, inorganic, or metalorganic chemistry
• Solid background in synthetic organic and organometallic chemistry
• Experience in synthesis of ligands/metal complexes under inert atmosphere and metal-catalyzed reactions
• Experience with high pressure set-up
• Strong interest in scientific and technical innovation
• Excellent teamwork, coordination, and communication skills
• Pro-active knowledge sharing with excellent organizational skills
• Advantageous: Experience in non-noble metal catalysis

Aufgaben

• Develop metal-catalyzed reactions for general and Roche projects
• Synthesize new ligands and metal catalysts under strict air exclusion
• Characterize new ligands and metal catalysts under strict air exclusion
• Benchmark newly prepared catalysts in standard reactions
• Benchmark catalysts in cross-couplings and asymmetric hydrogenations
• Integrate catalysts into ongoing Roche process steps
• Integrate catalysts into project workflows
• Operate metal-catalyzed reactions under pressure using autoclaves
• Safely handle H2 and CO gases in high-pressure environments
• Utilize state-of-the-art laboratory equipment
• Operate parallel screening reactors and glove boxes
