Intellectual Property Manager / Patent Attorney(m/w/x)

Anforderungen

• Completed studies in chemistry or chemical process engineering
• Qualification as a registered representative before the European Patent Office or comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in an industrial company or private law firm
• Experience in dealing with universities and research collaborations
• Experience in leading complex projects within interdisciplinary teams
• Fluent English skills; good knowledge of French and/or German
• Strategic thinking, negotiation skills, and strong customer orientation
• Integrative personality with strong communication skills and team spirit
• High level of initiative and flexibility

Aufgaben

• Identify patenting opportunities in research and development projects
• Define, obtain, and enforce intellectual property rights domestically and internationally
• Represent the Evonik Group before national and international authorities and courts
• Challenge third-party intellectual property rights
• Defend Evonik’s intellectual property against third-party attacks
• Prepare expert opinions on Evonik’s and third-party IP positions
• Evaluate IP positions prior to market launch of new products and processes
• Contribute to the development and implementation of intellectual property strategies
• Prepare expert opinions to safeguard Evonik’s know-how
• Monitor compliance with patent, trademark, and employee invention laws
• Advise on research, cooperation, licensing, and confidentiality agreements
• Negotiate contracts with a focus on intellectual property
• Review and approve new products, brochures, packaging, and publications
