Anforderungen
- University degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, astrophysics, meteorology or remote sensing or equivalent
- Experience in infrared instruments data processing (preferably high resolution, Hyperspectral sounders, like IASI)
- Developing and testing complex scientific software
- Handling and processing big amounts of data
- Experience in numerical algorithms
- Experience in satellite data analysis
- Familiar with calibration processes (hyper-spectral sounders)
- Experience with object-oriented techniques
- Experience with software tools for version control
- UNIX/Linux operating systems knowledge
- Use of shell/python scripts
- Experience with C++
- Experience with Python
- Experience with IDL
- Interferometry knowledge
- Fluency in English
- Knowledge of another European language
Aufgaben
- Develop and maintain processing algorithms
- Enhance algorithms for hyperspectral instruments
- Process and analyze satellite observation data
- Assess data from operational missions
- Generate and control Level 1 and Level 2 products
- Investigate and resolve data anomalies
- Contribute to instrument and processing issue resolution
- Perform scientific analysis of radiometric and spectral measurements
- Ensure product quality and mission performance
- Support calibration and characterization activities
- Validate hyperspectral sounders
- Monitor radiometric, spectral, and geometric performance
- Assess calibration products' impact
- Contribute to instrument performance assessments
- Support long-term monitoring activities
- Verify and validate new processing baselines
- Support new calibration methodologies
- Support operational processing systems
- Evolve ground segment capabilities
- Participate in system integration
- Test and commission systems
- Prepare technical documentation
- Create user guidance and operational procedures
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Work with satellite operators and scientists
- Engage with external partners
- Provide technical expertise for mission preparation
- Support product evolution
- Contribute to future hyperspectral instrumentation developments
