Anforderungen
- University degree (master or above) in computer science, mathematics, or natural sciences
- At least three years of high-performance computing experience
- Deep hands-on expertise with various HPC interconnects
- Experience with various flavors of Message-Passing Interface
- Understanding of MPI communication patterns and network interaction
- Solid Linux administration skills
- Proficiency with compiled programming languages (e.g. C, C++)
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g. Shell, Python)
- Analytical mindset with structured fault isolation and performance tuning approach
- Excellent German and English writing and speaking skills
- Familiarity with GPU-to-GPU communication
- Knowledge of parallel file system networking
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Ability to develop and implement solutions autonomously and in a team
- Service-oriented attitude
Aufgaben
- Deploy and configure network switches
- Manage fabric management software
- Install and manage host-software stacks
- Monitor fabric health
- Diagnose and resolve link errors
- Identify and fix performance bottlenecks
- Run benchmarks to assess interconnect performance
- Characterize interconnect performance
- Tune network performance for MPI
- Optimize distributed file systems
- Enhance storage traffic performance
- Collaborate with HPC system administrators
- Work with storage engineers
- Coordinate with application teams
- Optimize end-to-end data paths
- Evaluate new interconnect hardware
- Recommend new interconnect technologies
- Collaborate with vendors to hunt and fix bugs
- Maintain detailed network topology documentation
