As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will facilitate the migration of applications to the cloud and guide teams in adopting DevOps best practices. This role involves supporting onboarding, driving CI/CD pipeline migrations, and enhancing the developer experience through effective documentation and training.

Anforderungen

• •Hands-on experience in application development (Java, .NET, Python, or similar)
• •Practical experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and migrating between toolchains (Bitbucket/Jenkins → GitLab)
• •Strong understanding of DevOps principles, Git workflows, and modern delivery practices
• •Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services and Infrastructure-as-Code
• •Experience with deployment of containerized workloads and orchestration (Nexus, Helm, Docker, Kubernetes)
• •Experience working in air-gapped or restricted enterprise environments
• •Cloud certifications (e.g., Azure DevOps Engineer Expert) are a strong advantage
• •Fluency in English (written/verbal), German language skills are beneficial
• •Excellent communication and coaching skills
• •Proactive, pragmatic, and solution-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
• •Experience working in agile environments (SAFe or similar)
• •Ability to start immediately

Aufgaben

• •Support onboarding to the internal DevOps platform
• •Assist with the adoption of curated Azure services
• •Drive the migration of applications to cloud infrastructure
• •Ensure compliance with enterprise standards and secure-by-design principles
• •Migrate CI/CD pipelines from Bitbucket/Jenkins to GitLab
• •Align CI/CD processes with platform standards and compliance requirements
• •Educate development teams on DevOps practices and CI/CD automation
• •Enable cloud-native development for software teams
• •Create templates, documentation, and training materials to improve developer experience
