As a Flight Mechanics Engineer, you will develop and validate aircraft models while conducting handling-qualities assessments. This role involves collaborating across disciplines to ensure model consistency and supporting fly-by-wire development throughout the design and testing phases.

Anforderungen

• •MSc or equivalent in Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Mechanical Engineering
• •5+ years of professional experience in flight mechanics
• •Experience building and validating aircraft simulation models
• •Proven experience in handling-qualities assessment
• •Experience supporting Fly-By-Wire or flight-control system development
• •Strong programming skills in Python and MATLAB/Simulink
• •Excellent English communication and presentation skills
• •Experience with military aircraft
• •Experience with wind-tunnel testing

Aufgaben

• •Develop high-fidelity 6DOF simulation models for fixed-wing aircraft
• •Implement and maintain simulation models
• •Create aerodynamic models from CFD, wind tunnel, and flight test data
• •Validate aerodynamic models through database generation and processing
• •Conduct handling-qualities analyses and assessments
• •Run pilot-in-the-loop and metric-based evaluations
• •Produce recommendations and design solutions based on assessments
• •Support fly-by-wire and flight-control development
• •Provide vehicle models and requirements input
• •Conduct design verification through simulations and piloted evaluations
• •Prepare technical artefacts for certification and verification
• •Deliver simulation reports, requirement traceability, and test cases
• •Provide qualification evidence and support for flight tests
• •Collaborate with FBW teams during design, simulation, and test phases
• •Interface across disciplines to ensure consistency of models and assumptions
