As a Flight Control Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and validating flight control systems for aerial platforms. This role involves designing controllers, conducting field tests, and collaborating with various engineering disciplines to enhance the performance of the HX-2.

Anforderungen

• •M.Sc. or PhD in Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or equivalent degree
• •At least 5 years of professional experience in flight controller development
• •Very good skills in Matlab/Simulink
• •Solid background in aerodynamics, stability and control, and systems modelling
• •Excellent communication skills and ability to report and present findings clearly
• •Solid software engineering skills, writing clean and well-structured code in Matlab and/or Python, Rust, Java, or modern C++
• •Passion for keeping up to date with current research and enjoyment of reimplementing/ extending papers on flight control laws
• •Hands-on experience with fixed-wing aircraft/drones
• •Experience with or contribution to open-source autopilots like Ardupilot or PX4

Aufgaben

• •Develop flight controllers for various aerial platforms
• •Design and implement prototypes and simulations
• •Integrate controllers into the autopilot system
• •Conduct field testing of flight controllers
• •Iterate and refine controller designs
• •Support test specification and execution for flight controller evaluation
• •Collaborate with Flight Mechanics, Aerodynamics, Embedded Hardware and Software, and Testing teams
• •Analyze and contribute to flight test results
