- Execute compression experiments at ELI Beamlines and external facilities
- Own execution of laser compression experiments
- Plan laser compression experiments
- Set up diagnostics for laser compression experiments
- Collect data from laser compression experiments
- Lead operation of VISAR diagnostics
- Lead operation of SOP diagnostics
- Lead operation of X-ray radiography diagnostics
- Build reliable procedures for diagnostics
- Develop deep diagnostic expertise within the foam compression team
- Drive radiation hydrodynamic simulations of foam compression
- Drive radiation hydrodynamic simulations of hydrodynamic instabilities
- Use a multi-dimensional code such as FLASH or equivalent for simulations
- Analyze experimental data comprehensively
- Document results to support physics interpretation
- Document results for project reporting
- Compare simulation results with experimental data
- Identify areas of agreement between simulations and experiments
- Identify areas of discrepancy between simulations and experiments
- Identify areas of uncertainty between simulations and experiments
- Build productive working relationships with ELI Beamlines
- Build productive working relationships with other facility partners
- Support beamtime access with facility partners
- Support campaign execution with facility partners
