  • Guide cross-functional teams on engineering projects
  • Provide project milestones for new business development
  • Facilitate engineering projects for design/material changes
  • Track and monitor projects through the product lifecycle
  • Manage project schedules using relevant methodologies
  • Manage internal and external supplier relationships
  • Ensure projects meet milestones within budget
  • Collect prototype submissions from suppliers
  • Collect new launch production documentation from suppliers
  • Vet customer prototype submissions with Quality
  • Vet customer production submissions with Quality
  • Coordinate prototype kick-offs with Product Engineering
  • Coordinate prototype kick-offs with Quality
  • Coordinate prototype kick-offs with Metrology
  • Determine equipment measurements for prototypes
  • Determine techniques for prototypes
  • Determine product layout for prototypes
  • Identify deviations from quote/contract
  • Manage resolution of deviations
  • Determine project risks
  • Ensure on-time product launch
  • Ensure product launch at or under budget
  • Consider material cost for product launch
  • Serve as primary customer interface
  • Provide customer updates
  • Provide customer tracking reports
  • Communicate project budget variances
  • Communicate project plan variances
  • Communicate project schedule variances
