In this role, you will focus on enhancing polishing techniques for glass and metal optics, ensuring precision for applications in space, astronomy, and lithography. Your work will involve implementing advanced measurement techniques and documenting findings.

Anforderungen

• •University degree in mechanical engineering, precision/manufacturing technology, physical engineering, or comparable qualification
• •At least 3 years of professional experience in optics and precision manufacturing, including chemical-mechanical polishing (CMP), ion beam figuring (IBF), and/or magneto-rheological finishing (MRF)
• •Proficient user of all MS Office applications
• •Good written and spoken German and English
• •Independent, reliable, structured, and methodical approach to work
• •Class B driver's license is desirable

Aufgaben

• •Improve polishing processes for reflective optics
• •Implement machining processes using tactile and beam-based techniques
• •Establish correction processes for aspheric and free-form optical surfaces
• •Apply optical and tactile surface measurement techniques
• •Determine, evaluate, and document work results
