Director, EMEA Trade Compliance(m/w/x)
Developing EMEA trade compliance strategy for military/strategic semiconductor goods. 10-15 years trade compliance experience with EU export control frameworks required. Cross-jurisdictional program management, direct regulatory body liaison.
Anforderungen
- Minimum 10-15 years of experience in trade compliance
- Extensive knowledge of EU export control frameworks
- Experience managing compliance programs across multiple European jurisdictions
- Proven ability to interact with government agencies and regulatory bodies
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
- Bachelor’s degree in law, International Trade, or related field; advanced degree preferred
- Fluency in English; additional European languages a plus
- Experience in the semiconductor, aerospace, or defense sectors
- Familiarity with U.S. re-export controls (ITAR, EAR)
- Prior engagement with AEO and Known Consignor programs
- Experience with compliance automation tools and ERP integration
Aufgaben
- Lead the development of a European trade compliance strategy
- Ensure compliance with EU Regulation 2021/821 and national export control laws
- Oversee licensing processes for military and strategic goods
- Serve as the primary liaison with European regulatory bodies
- Develop and maintain Internal Compliance Programs for high-risk products
- Conduct internal audits and risk assessments
- Implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives
- Provide strategic guidance on compliance risks related to military technology
- Collaborate with security and IT teams on technology access controls
- Lead training programs on military and strategic goods regulations
- Collaborate with legal counsel on disclosures and government inquiries
