In this role, you will lead the development of AI platforms that enhance internal processes while managing a team of practitioners. Your work will involve designing advanced AI solutions, building data pipelines, and fostering an AI-first culture across the automotive division.

Anforderungen

• •Graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• •10+ years of data engineering experience
• •Expertise in Python and SQL
• •Strong background in real-time streaming frameworks
• •Experience building and maintaining data lakes/warehouses
• •Hands-on with LLMs and vector databases
• •Knowledge of MLOps/agent lifecycle tooling
• •Cloud-native architecture experience
• •Proven ability to influence and lead change
• •Familiarity with agent frameworks
• •Data engineering certification
• •Project Management certification
• •Advanced cross-cultural leadership and conflict resolution skills
• •Automotive or manufacturing industry knowledge
• •Willingness to travel up to 20%, including international travel
• •Flexibility to work remotely or from a US HARMAN office hub
• •Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen

• •Lead the architecture and development of AI platforms for process excellence
• •Partner with the Automotive Principal Architect to define global AI/ML architecture and tools
• •Manage and mentor a team of five AI practitioners
• •Design and implement advanced AI solutions across value streams
• •Influence an AI-first culture within HARMAN’s Automotive Digital roadmap
• •Develop end-to-end data platforms for AI training and evaluation
• •Build scalable, real-time data pipelines for multimodal data
• •Design dynamic memory and knowledge systems
• •Collaborate with researchers to integrate live feedback and auto-labeling systems
• •Oversee data governance, quality, and security policies for AI agents
• •Create observability tools for tracking AI behavior and decisions
• •Mentor junior engineers and foster a high-performance engineering culture
• •Stay updated on AI infrastructure trends and best practices
• •Act as a subject matter expert for AI engineering
• •Manage budgets for AI tools and measure value against costs
• •Drive partnerships and vendor management to enhance AI adoption
