Anforderungen
- Solid experience as Database Administrator, Engineer, or Reliability Engineer
- Strong hands-on PostgreSQL administration and production operations
- PostgreSQL knowledge in Kubernetes environments, ideally with CloudNativePG / CNPG Operator
- Good Oracle database administration and operations knowledge
- Strong SQL, query tuning, execution plan analysis, indexing, performance troubleshooting experience
- Backup and restore, replication, high availability, disaster recovery, monitoring experience
- Good database architecture, storage, capacity planning, data integrity, security understanding
- Database upgrades, patching, maintenance, operational lifecycle management experience
- Familiarity with automation or scripting for database tasks
- Interest in working closely with software engineers, architects, DevOps, system engineers
- Strong communication skills, analytical mindset, goal-oriented, quality-focused approach
- Willingness to learn new database technologies and operational practices
- English fluency
- AWS or cloud-based database operations knowledge
- Database observability tools experience (Grafana, logs, metrics, alerting)
- Infrastructure as code or automation tools experience
- Kubernetes or containerized environments familiarity from database operations perspective
Aufgaben
- Design reliable, scalable, secure, and high-performing database platforms
- Maintain and optimize PostgreSQL databases in production
- Work with PostgreSQL in Kubernetes-based environments
- Support and maintain Oracle database environments
- Analyze and optimize SQL queries, indexes, execution plans, and database performance
- Improve database availability, backup, restore, replication, and disaster recovery
- Monitor database health, capacity, performance, logs, metrics, and alerts
- Troubleshoot incidents, performance issues, data issues, and operational problems
- Enhance database security, access management, data integrity, and compliance
- Support database upgrades, patching, maintenance, and lifecycle management
- Improve database change management, release readiness, and operational processes
- Automate recurring database administration and operational tasks
- Collaborate with development teams, architects, product owners, DevOps engineers, and system engineers
- Contribute to database reviews, operational reviews, infrastructure reviews, and technical discussions
