Anforderungen
- Experience with public cloud provider (AWS, GCP or Azure)
- Familiarity with native cloud cost management tools (AWS, GCP or Azure) (plus)
- Experience with FinOps methodology/best practices and data-driven decision-making (plus)
- Experience writing scripts or small applications for automation, data processing or analysis
- Programming or scripting experience (e.g., Python)
- Interest in public cloud platforms (experience with AWS, GCP and/or Azure is a plus)
- Basic understanding of APIs, data formats and automation workflows
- Analytical mindset and interest in usage, billing or operational data
- Collaboration in multidisciplinary, international team and clear communication
- Spoken and written English, commitment to learn French
- Nationality of CERN Member or Associate Member State
- Professional background in Computer Science or related field with Master's degree (2-6 years experience) or PhD (max 3 years experience)
- No prior CERN fellow or graduate contract
Aufgaben
- Develop and maintain scripts and automation for cloud API interaction
- Support cost control, budgets, and alerts
- Collect, process, and analyze cloud usage data
- Collect, process, and analyze cloud billing data
- Provide clear, actionable cost insights
- Build and operate dashboards and reports
- Monitor cloud costs
- Forecast cloud costs
- Detect cloud cost anomalies
- Define and enforce cloud resource tagging practices
- Define and enforce cost attribution practices
- Support day-to-day FinOps operations
- Monitor cloud spend
- Investigate cloud anomalies
- Assist project teams
- Contribute to documentation on cloud cost management
- Contribute to runbooks on cloud cost management
- Share knowledge on cloud cost management best practices
