- Developing high-performance relational databases with Oracle/PostgreSQL
- Design and evolution of data models
- Designing and maintaining high-availability, client-oriented APIs (REST/gRPC)
- Java software development using Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate
- Software quality assurance practices and tools
- Use of CI/CD solutions
- Practical experience in PL/SQL (advantageous)
- Knowledge of programming techniques and languages
- Design of databases/repositories
- Architecture and design of ICT systems
- Identification and selection of relevant emerging ICT technologies
- Conceptualising, designing and developing user experiences and interfaces
- Accountability: working conscientiously and reliably

Aufgaben
- Design complex data models for CERN's accelerator control systems
- Evolve Oracle-based schemas and Java backend services
- Integrate backend solutions into full-stack software systems
- Interact with stakeholders to gather requirements
- Ensure ACID properties in data model design and implementation
- Develop and maintain APIs for data access and manipulation
- Interface APIs with AI systems
- Analyse and design integration solutions across technical domains
- Contribute to software development lifecycle phases
- Provide technical supervision and mentoring to junior engineers
- Support a large user community of 500+ users
- Propose and implement system evolution improvements
