Aufgaben
- Manage the general ledger and accounting operations for the Germany location
- Take ownership of assigned corporate finance duties
- Collaborate with the US Controller and local management
- Ensure accurate, timely financial filings (monthly, quarterly, annual)
- Partner across departments to maintain policy compliance
- Provide front office support as needed
- Resolve routine financial data issues promptly
- Independently manage and resolve complex, critical problems
- Prepare and perform month-end closing procedures
- Assist with preparation of financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, management reports)
- Understand and supervise daily accounting functions (AP, inventory, AR, bank reconciliations, payroll)
- Maintain integrity of the general ledger
- Perform monthly review and reconciliation of all ledger accounts
- Prepare consolidation of related divisions, including eliminations and intercompany transactions
- Conduct analysis and provide reports on variances, budgets, forecasts, and ledgers
- Assist with preparation of the annual budget
- Perform monthly analysis of budget to actual variances
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with management
- Prepare and distribute critical date reports
- Maintain a tickler system for tracking important dates and tasks
- Prepare and distribute monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports
- Gain a full understanding of TSE Brakes accounting functions
- Assist with the development of strategic accounting plans
- Maintain strong business relationships with customers, vendors, and colleagues
- Work with a consultant to file VAT filings for TSE Brakes Inc and Germany
- Work with a consultant to file income tax filings
- Supervise inventory controls (receiving, production entries, shipping, scrap, adjustments, scanner implementation)
- Lead annual physical inventory and cycle count processes
- Review, approve, and enter invoices for payment processing
- Maintain vendor information in compliance with standard practice
- Perform HR duties including hiring, terminations, managing accruals, and providing information to payroll consultants
- Coordinate required training and process into documentation software (CAQ)
- Manage fixed assets (additions, disposals, inventory)
- Provide support to the local team and management on demand
