- Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- 5 years of experience in space systems engineering
- Experience in space systems qualification and integration
- Basic knowledge of CAD and FEA tools
- Basic knowledge of hand calculations for structural sizing
- Good understanding of space design principles and materials
- Good understanding of mechanism design for space application
- Familiarity with industry standards and DFMR
- Programming skills to support internal tool development (asset)
- Fluent English
- German or French or Italian language skills (asset)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to present technical information clearly and concisely
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong organizing and prioritization of tasks

Aufgaben
- Design and develop parachute systems for aerospace vehicles
- Lead conceptual and detailed design of parachute deployment systems
- Create and maintain technical documentation (requirements, design reports, analysis summaries, test plans)
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams for system integration
- Evaluate mechanical and thermal loads, material selection, and interface requirements
- Perform sizing calculations for system assemblies
- Define and execute development test plans from concept to qualification
- Set up test configurations, instrumentation, and data analysis for system validation
- Coordinate with suppliers and external partners for hardware sourcing and qualification
- Support trade-off studies for weight, cost, reliability, manufacturability, and safety
