- Lead a team of 20 engineers across backend, frontend, DevOps, architecture, accessibility, and QA
- Set and execute the platform technology strategy
- Remove friction to enable stream-aligned product teams to ship more, at higher quality
- Mentor and support engineers and managers in their career development
- Jointly set platform investment priorities to align with real product needs
- Identify leverage points and create a clear, prioritized roadmap
- Make technical decisions to reduce friction and improve product team efficiency
- Ensure the platform's security posture and address vulnerabilities proactively
- Develop and maintain developer platform and internal tooling
- Build and manage AI platform components
- Ensure infrastructure, cloud, and DevOps reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency
- Develop frontend platform elements like design systems and component libraries
- Create and maintain backend platform services, APIs, and data infrastructure
- Implement quality engineering practices including test automation and quality standards
- Set and enforce architecture and technical standards
- Measure and improve developer experience based on data
- Ensure product teams focus on product work, not undifferentiated platform tasks
- Promote AI tooling adoption and demonstrate its time-saving benefits
- Manage tech debt with a deliberate strategy
- Track and close security and compliance gaps
- Ensure engineers voluntarily use the platform due to its ease of use
- Hire and develop a high-performing team
- Set clear standards and empower teams to own their work
- Stay informed about AI and experiment with its applications
