- 3-5 years experience with fast rotating machinery
- Strong fundamentals in thermodynamics and mechanical design
- Strong fundamentals of machine dynamics and rotordynamics
- Strong knowledge about bearings and rolling elements
- Good knowledge of materials
- Understanding of manufacturing methods and constraints
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software and drafting
- Experience writing software or scripts in Python
- Optional hands-on experience developing hardware prototypes
- Strong ability to collaborate with others
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong analysis and problem-solving skills
- Strong research and information inference skills
- Drive for excellence under time constraints
- Proficiency in organization and task prioritization

Aufgaben
- Make and document consequential turbomachinery design decisions
- Collaborate with development engineers to refine and validate designs
- Execute and review various turbopump architectural trades
- Perform rotordynamics analyses to inform cryogenic pump specifications
- Design and procure cryogenic pump components based on best practices
- Supervise external subcontractors and communicate with suppliers
- Model geometric and mechanical problems analytically
- Implement technical solutions into programs
