Technical Team Lead – Data Platform(m/w/x)

In this role, you will lead a team of data engineers to enhance and automate the data platform, ensuring it meets scalability and security standards. Your hands-on approach will empower teams across the company to leverage data effectively while promoting best practices in data engineering.

Anforderungen

  • •University degree in computer science, mathematics, natural sciences, or a similar field
  • •Extensive hands-on experience building, improving, and operating data platforms in high-volume environments
  • •Expert Level SQL, dbt & Python
  • •Skilled using Infrastructure as Code: e.g., Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation
  • •Expertise in AWS Cloud, especially their data-native service offering (S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift etc.) and security features like IAM, KMS and networking
  • •Experience with data modelling in the modern data stack
  • •Workflow Orchestration: e.g., Apache Airflow, AWS Step Functions, or similar
  • •Containerization: Docker; Kubernetes is a plus
  • •Deep knowledge of Software Engineering best practices—from requirements specification, version control, CI/CD, and testing to deployment and monitoring of data pipelines and services
  • •Ability to balance the big picture (strategy, scaling) with hands-on engineering and problem-solving
  • •Comfortable leveraging GenAI-assisted coding while maintaining high standards and thoughtful code reviews
  • •First experience acting as team or tech lead
  • •Ability to act as a trusted advisor for other teams and communicate complex technical topics clearly

  • •Remain hands-on in architecting, coding, and deploying solutions
  • •Drive adoption of modern tooling and GenAI-assisted coding
