- Production experience with React Native or Electron
- Background in modular codebases and npm modules
- 5+ years professional software engineering experience
- Leadership of development teams and stakeholder coordination
- Experience with mobile, browser, or desktop stores
- Proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript
- Experience building local-first applications
- Experience with local-first data technologies
- Familiarity with cross-platform packaging and deployment
- Familiarity with encryption and secure storage
- Grasp of asynchronous programming and networking
- Proficiency with Git, CI/CD, and open-source
- Excellent communication skills
Aufgaben
- Define the technical direction and architecture
- Lead development of peer-to-peer desktop and mobile applications
- Act as the primary liaison with Holepunch engineers
- Translate upstream developments into actionable work
- Design performant cross-platform UX for collaborative tools
- Integrate and extend the Pear Runtime and Holepunch stack
- Ship features rapidly and participate in code reviews
- Write tests and optimize application performance
- Support external partners and the open-source community
- Contribute improvements to underlying open-source modules
- Lead knowledge-sharing sessions across engineering teams
- Translate product requirements into modular technical plans
- Coordinate internal and external documentation and training
- Consolidate and relay technical feedback to Holepunch
- Guide and mentor various engineering teams
