Anforderungen
- Experience deploying, operating, troubleshooting endpoint security solutions (AV/EDR)
- Experience administering database server environments
- Experience in Windows software development or scripting using Microsoft .NET and PowerShell
- Experience in Windows systems administration
- Automation and configuration management in Windows environments (advantage)
- Security mindset: interest in security and configuration management
- Ability to translate security requirements into practical, maintainable controls
- Endpoint protection: AV/EDR operations, baselining, hardening, secure configuration
- Database fundamentals: understanding of database systems and SQL
- Knowledge of and interest in Windows client and server administration
- Scripting & automation: PowerShell, Microsoft .NET
- Ability to build tools for operational efficiency and security
- Knowledge of Puppet, Grafana, Git, Docker, commercial cloud platforms (advantage)
- Good communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders
- Familiarity with Active Directory, OS deployment, Microsoft enterprise services (advantage)
- Spoken and written English
- Commitment to learn French
- National of a CERN Member or Associate Member State
- Maximum two years of professional experience since graduation in IT, Computing, Software Engineering (or related field)
- Highest educational qualification is Bachelor's or Master's degree
- Never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before
- Applicants without University degree are not eligible
- Applicants with a PhD are not eligible
Aufgaben
- Strengthen security of Windows endpoints and services
- Manage security for Windows and macOS devices
- Operate Antivirus and EDR infrastructure and client deployment
- Deploy, operate, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server environments
- Develop and maintain service management and automation tools
- Conduct security audits and drive protocol improvements
- Configure and maintain endpoint devices and application packages
- Contribute to configuration management and automation
- Deploy and maintain Windows Server services
- Assess and support workload evolution
- Conduct feasibility studies for cloud deployment
- Implement monitoring tools and procedures
