Aufgaben
- Architect optical terminal payloads for satellite constellations
- Ensure secure, high-bandwidth laser links between satellites
- Collaborate with payload, spacecraft bus, and security teams
- Define overall optical communications architecture for SAR constellation
- Perform detailed free-space optical link budget calculations
- Model atmospheric effects for ground links
- Conduct jitter analysis
- Drive requirements and verification for PAT subsystems
- Work with ADCS team for precise optical pointing
- Oversee physical and electrical integration of OISL terminals
- Manage Size, Weight, and Power (SWaP) constraints
- Interface with optical terminal manufacturers and vendors
- Evaluate COTS and custom solutions
- Lead design reviews
- Oversee qualification testing
- Ensure optical links meet military LPI/LPD and cryptographic requirements
