Anforderungen
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering & Information Technology, Aerospace Engineering, or comparable field
- Many years of experience in data handling systems
- Data handling hardware subsystem architecture
- Data handling system environment (e.g. Simulation, CAD)
- Hardware test benches
- Space Standards, e.g. ECSS, CCSDS
- Completed Master's degree in Electrical Engineering/Information Technology, Aerospace, or comparable
- Many years of experience in Data Handling Systems
- Experience in hardware subsystem architecture for data processing
- Experience with space standards (e.g. ECSS, CCSDS)
- Knowledge of data handling system environments (e.g. Simulation, CAD)
- Experience with hardware test benches
- Negotiation-level English skills; German skills are a clear advantage for on-site work
Aufgaben
- Act as central technical authority for On-Board Data Handling (OBDH)
- Conduct high-level trade-off studies for data throughput and processing speed
- Translate complex system-level needs into precise equipment specifications
- Manage technical roadmap with suppliers
- Orchestrate data, electrical, and housekeeping interfaces between spacecraft components
- Own critical DHS budgets including TM/TC, bus traffic, and processor performance
- Lead subsystem through electrical and functional testing (AIT)
- Ensure performance during Launch and In-Orbit Testing (IOT)
- Define hardware structure of OBDH subsystems
- Break down complex customer requirements into technical specifications
- Manage interfaces between platform, payload, and crypto units
- Support production, electrical tests, and verification
- Lead crypto design at the interface between hardware and software
- Focus on next-generation MMFU development and interfaces
