You will join the core development team to evolve a global data management system, designing features and managing DevOps tasks to support some of the world's largest scientific datasets.
Anforderungen
- Experience with distributed storage technologies
- Design and development of large distributed data management systems
- Experience with SQL-based databases
- Experience in software design, architecture, and continuous integration
- Excellent Python programming skills
- Strong knowledge in distributed systems, networks, and databases
- Knowledge of scientific computing and Kubernetes (advantageous)
- English proficiency and commitment to learn French
- National of CERN Member or Associate Member State
- Background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Master's degree with 2-6 years experience or PhD
- No previous CERN fellow or graduate contract
Aufgaben
- Evolve storage interaction workflows to integrate new research infrastructures
- Develop and refine authentication and authorization workflows
- Design and build features for the Rucio catalogue component
- Perform DevOps tasks to operate the project's Rucio deployment
- Contribute to the large-scale evolution of the Rucio architecture
- Collaborate with the open-source community and internal teams
- Design and evolve the core data management system
