- Advanced proficiency in FEA tools such as Abaqus, HyperMesh, Solid Edge; scripting experience (Python, MATLAB) is a plus
- Strong background in complex FEM analyses: non-linear, transient, fatigue, thermomechanical
- Familiarity with soft materials like foam, elastomers, plastics, and gels, especially in the context of sleep products
- Solid understanding of FMEA and related quality and risk assessment methodologies
- Strong critical thinking skills and a structured approach to problem-solving
- Excellent analytical skills and a high level of autonomy and initiative
- Strong communication skills – able to convey technical insights clearly and persuasively
- Fluent in English; Chinese language skills are a plus, German is beneficial
- Passionate about innovation, teamwork, and creating outstanding products that improve sleep quality
Aufgaben
- Lead product optimization projects for mattresses, bed frames, and accessories
- Develop and implement simulation strategies throughout the product lifecycle
- Introduce new technologies like non-linear material modeling and AI-assisted optimization
- Create detailed test plans for FEM analysis and model calibration
- Conduct hands-on technical tests in the in-house lab
- Analyze product design, material properties, and structural integrity
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure clear technical communication
- Act as a subject matter expert in material properties and 3D CAD design
- Mentor junior engineers and promote technical excellence
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality results aligned with project goals
