- Advocate for reliability in the product development cycle.
- Report reliability KPIs and metrics to leadership.
- Own and improve incident handling processes and automation.
- Foster a blameless culture for learning from incidents.
- Lead the disaster recovery framework implementation in the cloud.
- Partner with Platform teams to develop observability tools.
- Build relationships with product teams to address pain points.
- Design monitoring solutions for system visibility.
- Work with vendors to develop business and technical relationships.
- Lead projects with uncertainty, guiding assigned engineers.
- Help teams understand and improve service reliability.
- Provide technical leadership on reliability to various stakeholders.
- Raise awareness of the impact of unreliable products.
- Mentor teams on operating resilient systems.
- Drive engineering initiatives with a focus on reliability.
- Foster collaboration across departments for holistic reliability.
- Keep PM and engineering manager informed on technical details.
- Set standards of excellence for quality and performance.
