- Real-time feature computation experience
- Extensive real-time data streaming systems experience
- Experience with systems handling TBs of data daily
- Experience with systems handling thousands of events/sec
- Identify data pipeline bottlenecks
- Optimize and scale data pipelines
- Strong Java knowledge
- Golang knowledge (plus)
- Python knowledge (plus)
- Worked closely with Data Scientists
- Online ML systems experience
- Low latency systems experience
- Design robust data architectures
- Design multi-layered data architectures
- Hands-on dbt experience
- Guide on data management tools and formats
- Knowledge of scheduling frameworks
- Knowledge of data quality concepts
- Apply data quality in production
- Familiarity with relational databases
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases
- Open to relocating to Hamburg, Germany
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to tackle complex technical challenges
- Hands-on AWS experience (plus)
- Hands-on Terraform experience (plus)
- Hands-on Kubernetes experience (plus)
- Familiarity with Medallion Architecture (plus)
- Experience building Semantic Layers (plus)
Aufgaben
- Leverage Apache Flink for real-time data streams
- Enable Data Scientists to contribute new features
- Implement data validation and monitoring processes
- Maintain data accuracy and consistency
- Optimize ETL pipeline performance
- Identify and eliminate process bottlenecks
- Bridge data science and backend engineering
- Build custom ingestion logic for unstructured data
- Preprocess data for experimental research
- Maintain and optimize the Data Lake
- Contribute to Data Lakehouse model decisions
- Implement data storage best practices
- Work in an international, English-speaking team
