Senior Business Development Manager - CMC Services(m/w/x)
New business development for contract manufacturing and development services to R&D and procurement teams in life sciences. CDMO/CMC services functional/technical knowledge essential. 30 days holiday.
Anforderungen
- Education in life sciences, analytics, pharmacy, biochemistry, or equivalent
- Functional and/or technical knowledge in CDMO/CMC services
- 3 to 5 years of experience in business development
- Strong resilience and willingness to grow customer portfolio
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Self-starter with a hunter mentality and ability to work independently
- Fluent English in speaking and writing, additional languages appreciated
- Willingness to travel to visit clients and operational sites
Aufgaben
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, emailing, networking, and social media
- Build and manage a robust pipeline of qualified prospects
- Conduct discovery calls and pitch solutions to meet client needs
- Ensure high-level communication with clients in collaboration with experts
- Develop strategic relationships with key stakeholders in R&D, procurement, and executive teams
- Plan and follow up on commercial visits and roadshows, representing the organization at industry events
- Maintain a strong understanding of the commercial landscape to identify market growth opportunities
- Collaborate with Marketing to identify new opportunities
- Maintain accurate CRM records and report on key sales metrics
- Lead pricing and contract negotiations aligned with internal delivery capabilities and margin goals
- Create best-in-class RFPs for efficient proposal submission
- Achieve fixed objectives in terms of Order Entry
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, project management, and technical teams to ensure delivery excellence
