Anforderungen
- Knowledge of hybrid circuit breakers, ultra-fast protection schemes, AI-driven fault detection, MVDC breakers, DER integration (PV/BESS), and innovative interrupter technologies
- Strong background in electromagnetic and thermal modeling for high-power applications
- Strong publication record or collaboration with research institutions in MV protection technologies
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in MV/HVDC protection, circuit breaker design, fault analysis, and interruption technologies
- Experience with real-time simulation or FPGA-based control systems
- Experience with vacuum or gaseous circuit breakers is advantageous
- Experience in MV breaker development initiatives, innovation and technical leadership
Aufgaben
- Design, simulate, and test medium-voltage circuit breakers
- Ensure compliance with IEC standards for circuit breakers
- Innovate ultrafast MVDC circuit breakers for next-generation power systems
- Design, model, and optimize Thomson coil actuators
- Establish MV/MVDC test circuits
- Assemble prototypes for testing
- Conduct high-voltage lab experiments under safety protocols
- Validate performance through simulation and empirical testing
- Lead joint research initiatives with European universities
- Publish research findings in high-impact journals
- Contribute to patents and IP development
- Ensure adherence to IEC/IEEE standards
- Drive novel concepts in MVDC interruption
- Drive novel concepts in fault mitigation
