Anforderungen
- Experience in ultrasonic or digital radiographic techniques for NDT
- ISO 9712 certifications (advantageous)
- Valid certificate for handling X-ray electric generators (advantageous)
- Configure PAUT systems and use inspection simulation software
- Set up acquisitions and use 2D/3D visualization software
- Familiarity with material science, welding processes, and NDT standards
- Strong technical writing skills for procedures and reports
- Spoken and written English or French, learn basics of other language
- National of a CERN Member or Associate Member State
- Professional background in Materials Science/Welding Engineer/NDT
- Master's degree with 2 to 6 years post-graduation experience
- PhD with no more than 3 years post-graduation experience
- Never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before
- Work in Radiation Areas
- Interventions in underground installations
- Valid driving licence
Aufgaben
- Collaborate with NDT team on inspection activities
- Participate in ultrasonic testing, digital radiography, and computed tomography
- Optimize PAUT techniques for medium/thin austenitic welds
- Develop PAUT probes for immersion setup
- Support mobile radiography and tomography system implementation
- Conduct in-situ inspections of accelerator components
- Inspect medium-sized components in a bunker
- Communicate inspection results to project engineers
- Document testing protocols and findings
