In this role, you will ensure compliance with GDPR and global data protection laws while managing data subject requests and advising on privacy risks. Your work will involve collaborating with various teams to embed privacy principles and safeguard the legal integrity of the company.

Anforderungen

• •3+ years of experience in privacy and data protection
• •Strong knowledge of EU and German data protection law (GDPR, BDSG, TTDSG)
• •Experience in commercial contracting and corporate compliance
• •Fully qualified German lawyer (Volljurist) who has completed both state examinations
• •Confidence in advising on EU and international level
• •Confidence advising internal stakeholders across Product, Research, Tech, and Commercial
• •Excellent legal drafting skills in German and English
• •Proactivity, analytical skills, and comfort working independently
• •Curiosity about the intersection of privacy, technology, and AI
• •Based in Europe (ideally in Germany, Spain, or the UK)

Aufgaben

• •Advise on EU GDPR and privacy laws in the UK, US, and LATAM
• •Draft, review, and negotiate Data Processing Agreements and Standard Contractual Clauses
• •Manage Data Subject Rights Requests within statutory deadlines
• •Oversee Data Protection Impact Assessments and ensure privacy-by-design
• •Monitor cross-border data transfers and manage Transfer Impact Assessments
• •Maintain and enhance internal privacy policies and compliance frameworks
• •Conduct internal audits and risk reviews for continuous improvement
• •Track regulatory developments and provide actionable business guidance
• •Ensure contracts align with privacy obligations in collaboration with commercial legal
• •Support due diligence processes and respond to client security questionnaires
• •Advise on lawful use of personal data in marketing and product innovation
• •Act as the contact point for data breach response and regulator communications
• •Identify and mitigate privacy and compliance risks across departments
• •Coordinate with external advisors and DPOs on complex matters
• •Collaborate with Product and Data teams for responsible data and AI use
• •Review new tools and technologies for compliance implications
