Anforderungen
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
- At least 10 years of experience as Electrical Controls and Instrumentation Engineer
- Experience in process plants
- Experience in cold weather climates

- Project experience in mining, water treatment or comparable industries
- Project experience covering FEED, detailed design, construction, commissioning and start-up

Aufgaben
- Define and maintain technical direction for EIC Department
- Lead development of fit-for-purpose EIC specifications
- Develop design philosophies and basis of design globally
- Ensure owner requirements are documented and communicated
- Validate design assumptions against operability and safety
- Ensure compliance with local and regional codes and regulations
- Review and approve contractor submissions
- Enforce owner requirements and provide technical clarifications
- Ensure adherence to schedule, quality, safety, and operability
- Set clear expectations for execution methods and field quality controls
- Provide turnover documentation for safe operation and maintenance
- Lead initiatives to improve EIC system reliability and performance
- Troubleshoot issues and implement preventive measures
- Evaluate and introduce emerging technologies
- Act as primary EIC interface with process, mechanical, and project management teams
- Identify and mitigate EIC risks during design and operation
- Support project teams with scope, cost, and schedule estimates
- Supervise and coach junior team members
- Provide guidance on technical challenges
- Drive lessons-learned sessions for continuous improvement
- Maintain records of technical decisions and design bases
- Incorporate Alberta climate conditions into EIC design
- Plan for freeze protection, winterization, insulation, and heat tracing
- Ensure design is constructable and operable in winter conditions
- Consider temporary works and winter work sequencing
- Address interface constraints with cold-weather activities
