Anforderungen
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in scientific/computational discipline or equivalent experience
- Solid experience applying data engineering to scientific, laboratory data
- Required technical skills
- LIMS customization, data models, and integration
- Integrating lab instruments, applications, robots, and IoT with reference databases and data warehouses
- Solid grasp of lab solutions ecosystem (ELN, CDS, LES, multi-omics pipelines, IoT, barcode systems)
- Programming (Python, R, Java, Groovy)
- Data engineering and modeling (ETL/ELT, APIs, orchestration, SQL/NoSQL) with engineering rigor
- Semantic modeling, ontologies, and knowledge graphs (RDF/SPARQL, biomedical/chemical vocabularies)
- FAIR data implementation, metadata management, and lineage tooling
- Enabling AI/ML and analytics use cases on scientific data
- Domain exposure in chemistry, biology, food, or omics
- Reporting tools (DASH, Streamlit, Power BI) is an advantage
- Leveraging Agentic AI to automate data engineering activities
- Strong problem-solving and hands-on mindset
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience collaborating with external vendors and data professionals and driving delivery through others
- Ability to work in cross-functional and international teams
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Fluent spoken and written English
Aufgaben
- Reinforce laboratory data foundations
- Leverage data technologies and AI to transform raw, heterogeneous scientific data into reusable assets
- Partner with stakeholders to translate functional requirements into technical solutions
- Ensure alignment between scientific workflows and technological capabilities
- Enable laboratory instruments end to end
- Understand scientific workflow and data outputs
- Define and establish instrument connectivity and data flow
- Collaborate to propose and implement lab platform customizations
- Identify opportunities to increase lab data value
- Leverage data technologies for data integrations, warehousing, and quality checks
- Support testing, deployment, and continuous improvement of lab solutions
- Support AI-enabled opportunities to strengthen data flows and unlock value
