- Bachelor’s degree with strong UPW/wastewater treatment experience in semiconductor industry
- First experience in process control, water and waste water treatment systems (semiconductor, pharmaceuticals, biotech, energy preferred)
- Good understanding of water chemistry and treatment processes
- Ability to interpret process data and laboratory results
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
- Self-initiative, creativity, flexibility, and ability to work under pressure
- Strong communication and technical documentation abilities
- Mobility and willingness to travel worldwide, including extended trips
- English proficiency for daily business
- Swiss or EU citizenship or C Swiss resident permit
Aufgaben
- Design and optimize ultrapure water and wastewater treatment processes
- Support capital projects from concept to commissioning
- Calculate and optimize filtration, activated carbon filters, and advanced oxidation processes
- Design reverse osmosis, ion exchange, EDI, and UF/MF systems
- Optimize degasification, UV oxidation, and TOC reduction processes
- Develop chemical and biological treatment methods, including ZLD systems
- Create and review process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)
- Generate mass balances and equipment specifications for major items
- Develop technical specifications for packaged units and process equipment
- Participate in design reviews and clarifications
- Generate process description and logic documents
- Participate in HAZOP, FMEA, and safety reviews
- Collaborate with other engineering departments
- Support project managers on project activities
- Prepare documentation for project submission
- Support project team on plant start-up, performance tests, and optimization
- Conduct commissioning activities, performance tests, and hand-over
- Train end customer operation and maintenance teams
- Provide technical support to Ecolab operation and maintenance teams
- Troubleshoot process upsets and contamination events
- Monitor system performance and water quality parameters
- Conduct audits of running systems and provide audit reports
- Work with innovation teams to develop new processes and digital tools
