Anforderungen
- Initial design experience with mechanical components and assemblies using 3D CAD software
- CATIA V5 proficiency (advantageous)
- Exposure to ISO GPS standards
- BOM preparation skills
- Hands-on structural simulation experience using finite element analysis
- Theoretical knowledge of mechanical material behavior
- Theoretical knowledge of production methods
- Experience with additive manufacturing (asset)
- Experience with 3D scanning (asset)
- Knowledge of structural analysis using finite element methods
- Ability to work in international multi-disciplinary teams
- Skills to prepare comprehensive technical documentation
- FEA software experience (advantageous)
- Spoken and written English
- Commitment to learn French
- National of a CERN Member or Associate Member State
- Maximum two years of professional experience since graduation
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before
- University degree required
Aufgaben
- Contribute to conceptual design and development of mechanical systems
- Produce 3D models and manufacturing drawings
- Create Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Support manufacturing and assembly of equipment
- Test and install equipment
- Collaborate with physicists, engineers, and technicians
- Translate conceptual requirements into practical solutions
- Develop innovative technologies for high-voltage pulsed power
- Contribute to accelerator system development
