In this role, you will support the desk by building supply and demand models, enhancing analytical processes, and producing timely analyses. Your day will involve ensuring data accuracy, collaborating across teams, and contributing to long-term projects that drive efficiency.

Anforderungen

• •Advanced degree (MSc preferred) in Mathematics, Statistics, or Quantitative Finance
• •Experience in quantitative research, ideally through internship or related position in commodities trading
• •Experience in highly quantitative trading asset classes, particularly power and systematic trading
• •Coding skill in Python and ease with Excel/VBA
• •Passion for investing and trends in commodities markets
• •Excellent writing skills and ability to synthesize thoughts and organize information
• •Openness to tackle any project or task required
• •Strong communication skills and ability to work well with colleagues across teams and regions

Aufgaben

• •Support the desk in building supply and demand models for agricultural commodities
• •Assist in developing new analytical models and processes to enhance efficiency
• •Produce ad hoc analyses based on short-term market developments
• •Manage the desk's data flows, including onboarding new datasets
• •Run and maintain processes related to fundamental data operations
• •Collaborate with teams to capture cross-desk synergies and improve reporting
• •Provide ad-hoc support for organization or technical assistance
• •Check models and visualizations for accuracy and data issues
• •Organize team confluence pages to keep information current
• •Create any ad-hoc analyses requested by traders or analysts
• •Work on long-term projects to develop market-leading analytical models
