Head of Electronics & Bring-Up(m/w/x)
Architecture definition, circuit design, and system bring-up for photonic-ASIC AI accelerators at a developer of light-based computing solutions. MSc/PhD in Electrical Engineering and proven track record in complex electronic systems required. Hybrid work model.
Anforderungen
- MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field
- Proven track record driving complex electronic systems end-to-end
- Experience in architecture and PCB/PCBA design
- Experience in external development, lab bring-up, validation, and stable platform
- Server hardware or AI accelerator context (preferred)
- Strong expertise in Server Type Compute Platforms
- Experience managing external electronics development service providers
- Experience managing PCB/PCBA suppliers
- Experience driving industrialization to production-ready designs with cost and margin awareness
- Exposure to ASIC-controlled or mixed-technology (photonic-electronic) systems or data-center integration environments (plus)
- Ability to decide, structure, and deliver under uncertainty
- Ability to define assumptions explicitly
- Ability to create minimal effective structures
- Ability to act in grey zones without perfect requirements or complete data
- Hands-on technical leadership with high ownership
- Leadership through expertise
- Ability to build subsystem ownership in team
- Willingness to step into the lab
- Ownership of architecture, cost, and schedule targets
- Clear, structured communication skills

Aufgaben
- Define and own architecture for photonic-ASIC AI accelerators
- Oversee circuit design, PCB architecture, and external manufacturing
- Manage system bring-up, verification, and integration
- Create bring-up plans
- Lead hands-on lab bring-up and system integration
- Perform prototype validation
- Drive root-cause analysis for system stability
- Lead design reviews with internal teams
- Lead design reviews with external development partners
- Manage partner performance
- Conduct supplier audits
- Drive industrialization and production handover
- Ensure designs meet cost targets
- Ensure designs are production-ready
- Bring forward independent decision proposals
- Build, lead, and develop the Electronics & Bring-Up team
- Establish clear subsystem ownership
- Proactively close team skill gaps
- Develop senior engineers into technical leads
- Develop team working methodology
- Establish design standards and reusable platforms
- Implement lean decision-making structures
- Align with internal teams via specifications
- Engage in expert exchange with internal teams
- Coordinate with production for industrialization
- Track and report system and team KPIs
- Align weekly KPI reporting to SVP and CEO
